So currently I am sitting on my bed--my feet on a plastic IKEA chair, my unfinished clothes upcycling projects staring at me from the corner of the room, my stomach starting to rumble. The clock is showing 5.08 a.m. and I am inclined to believe it, because I can see the sun peaking through the treetops outside my window. I'm supposed to 'wake up' in 3 hours. Maybe I'll get some sleep soon. Not likely.
Time is easily wasted at night. The minutes pass slowly, but the mind is slower yet. One takes so long to do the simplest things. And while I'm here, battling my crippling insomnia, my partner sleeps sound in their bed two floors above. How unfair the world is-- And I guess you can add this to my already overgrown list of hobbies... August is gonna rule for real.
